Robber enters Rockford Burger King with weapon, steals money

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- No one was hurt after a man with a weapon allegedly held up three employees at a Rockford Burger King on Monday morning.

Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery around 6 a.m. at the Burger King on 2334 11th St.

Police say the suspect took money and cell phones from a safe that an employee was forced to open.

The suspect drove away in a silver car with tinted windows. He is described as a black man between 25-30 years old and around 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, brown coat and black pants.
