ROCKFORD, Ill (WIFR) -- Its new branding and new space for a longtime organization with the sole purpose of restoring a once proud Rockford neighborhood.
Jeremiah Development has been around for 11 years supporting residents of Rockford’s Coronado Haskell neighborhood. The program will link over 700 underserved residents to resources that will assist in areas like housing, health care, mental health counseling, and legal services. The group also celebrated a $15,000 grand from the Armer F. Ahlstrand fund to support events to take place in 2020.
Greg Cox, Jeremiah Development board president spoke with us, "We like to say that we're bringing heart to the heart of the city. Every city has to develop from its core. The core of Rockford has been neglected for far too long and we're trying to rectify that."
