The Grand Lighted Holiday Parade in Beloit was interrupted Friday night after a Wisconsin man allegedly crashed his truck through a barrier and drove into the parade.

Police did not pursue 38-year-old Curtis Metz of Darlington until he left the parade route, but then a police chase took the truck into Winnebago County before Metz crashed into two trees near Prairie and Rockton Roads and was arrested.

He's been charged with a fifth operating while intoxicated offense and is currently at the Winnebago county jail awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.
