OTTAWA, Il. (WIFR) - 16th District Congressman Adam Kinzinger announces he is running for his fifth term in office.
The Republican says, "It's been my honor to serve in Congress, representing the hardest working people in America. I'm motivated by the fact that we live in the greatest county on Earth, where you can become anything you want, something bigger than yourself."
Kinzinger will face Democrats Chris Minelli, Nathan Arroyave, Neill Mohammad and Sara Dady.
Kinzinger says if re-elected, he will continue to combat the nation's opioid problem, work to resolve the military readiness crisis and fight for farmers and manufacturers as well as middle-class families and small business owners.
Kinzinger also announced the launch of a new campaign website at electadam.com.
"We have a lot to look forward to, and I'm confident we can accomplish big things for the good of our community and our country. I'm inspired by our bright future and inspired by the people of this district. I'm proud to be a servant leader fighting for my constituents here in IL-16," says Kinzinger.
