MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee police have arrested the man wanted for killing the mother of his child, wounding a second woman and for abducting the toddler. But, there is no sign of the 2-year-old girl.
Dariaz Higgins was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon on Milwaukee's northwest side. Higgins is charged with fatally shooting Sierra Robinson and wounding another woman Monday afternoon.
A second person was arrested for harboring a fugitive.
The girl, Noelani Robinson, is still missing and an active Amber Alert remains in effect in her disappearance. Police say they are investigating leads that the child may be in St. Cloud, Minnesota, or Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Police are searching for a two-year-old girl who was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Monday.
According to officials, Noelani Robinson was last seen with 33-year-old Dariaz Higgins but was not returned to her mother as planned.
Higgins, otherwise known as Taylor or Lewis, was last seen driving a black SUV.
He's believed to still have the child and is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who spots the child or suspect is asked to call 911 and the Milwaukee Police.
