6 dead, 40 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Winnebago Co. Wednesday

Winnebago County now has 2,349 total positive cases of COVID-19 with an additional 40 new cases confirmed Wednesday.
Six new deaths were announced, the county total stands at 69 deaths.

Forty-five deaths (65.22%) came from in-congregate settings from an area of concern. Twenty-four deaths (34.78%) came from non-congregate settings from an area of concern.

-- 131 cases and 32 deaths: 80 and older age group

There have been 2,349 total tests that have come back positive, 19,873 tests that have come back negative. Adding these up gives a total of 22,222 tests that have been conducted so far in Winnebago County.
The health department also reports that 785 people have recovered from the novel coronavirus, up 32 from yesterday.
