BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) -- Fiat Chrysler officials have confirmed the Belvidere Plant will shut down for two weeks after a lack of demand.

Due to lack of orders on the Jeep Cherokee, which the Belvidere Plant makes, the facility will temporarily shut down. A spokesperson with the plant said that slow business is not unusual this time of year after the holidays. The plant has previously closed in winter months as the car buying market tends to slow down after Christmas.
