They range from firefighters to librarians to leaders of industry to volunteers, but one thing these 20 people have in common is the Rockford Chamber of Commerce believe they are all people you should know.
Twenty leaders are honored tonight by the Chamber for their achievements and commitment to making the Rockford community a better place to live. This is the 6th annual "People You Should Know" event, and more than 120 people have now been recognized for their commitment to the community.
"We've got a lot of people in our community who are doing great things every day either for their company, for their community, for their own families," says Rockford Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Einar Forsnman. "And we just want to be able to acknowledge that and show them our respect and thank them for that."
Eight women and 12 men comprise the 2018 "People You Should Know" honorees.
