18-year-old arrested for DeKalb shooting death

DEKALB, Ill. (WIFR) -- According to DeKalb Police, 18-year-old Adam Koertner is charged with several counts of first-degree murder.

Police were called to the 800 block of Edgebrook Drive just before 11:30 Thursday night for reports of a shooting. When officers got to the scene they found a man with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital where he died.

Investigators say they identified Koertner as a suspect and took him into custody without incident. He's charged with four counts of first-degree murder. He's currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
