17-year-old driver dies in Whiteside County crash
A 17-year-old driver is dead after a crash in Whiteside County Sunday.
According to officials, on February 9, 2020 around 7:15 a.m. Whiteside County deputies were dispatched to Dixon Ave, at Holland Creek , Rock Falls for a vehicle submerged in the Howland Creek.
Upon arrival deputies determined a passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound on Dixon Ave, when the vehicle struck a utility pole, and flew into the Holland Creek.
17 year old Amarion Green of Sterling was determined to be the driver. he was found dead inside of the vehicle when deputies arrived. The crash is still under investigation.
