ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- Next time you order a burger from "15th & Chris," you'll be giving back to a good cause.

The well-known burger joint will donate two dollars from each burger this month to the Family Justice Center. The facility is in the works and plans to offer resources and support for victims of domestic violence.

Owner James Purifoy says he's been affected by domestic violence and wants to do his part in combatting the issue locally.

"I share memories of domestic violence within my family," Purifoy said. "I was like heads on, like let's get out there and tackle this., whether we just bring in, put an eye on it or give people information on things that they can do."

"15th & Chris" donates a portion of its sales to a different local nonprofit each month.

Purifoy has teamed up with the city of Rockford to create its newest unique burger know as the "Tommi Mac," named after Rockford mayor Tom McNamara.

The pizza-themed burger is topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage and house marinara sauce all on a pretzel bun.
