FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) -- A $100,000 lottery prize purchased in Freeport last August will expire in less than a month if left unclaimed.
According to the Illinois lottery website, a $100,000 winning Powerball ticket was purchased August 11, 2018 at Cub Foods at 1512 S. West Ave. in Freeport.
The winner has one year from the date of purchase to claim the prize, otherwise it is set to expire. Illinois Lottery says the winner has yet to come forward.
The winner can take the winning ticket to one of the Illinois Lottery's five prize centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights.
