$1 Million winning lottery ticket sold in Rochelle

ROCHELLE, Ill. (WIFR) -- A Mega Millions lottery ticket sold in Rochelle fell just one number short of taking home the $485 million jackpot. However, the owner of that ticket will take home $1 million instead.

The Illinois Lottery is waiting for the owner of that ticket, sold at the Shell gas station on Lake Lida Lane, to come forward to claim the prize. The ticket matched all five numbers 07-25-43-56-59 to win the $1 million prize. The only number missed was the mega ball, which was 13.

The winner has one year to claim the prize at any of the five Illinois Lottery prize centers, including one in Rockford.

Since no one took home the jackpot, the prize rolls up the $502 million. The next drawing will be on Friday.
