Kyle Midura

Multimedia Journalist
Washington, D.C.

Kyle Midura joined the Gray Television Washington News Bureau in September 2017 from Gray TV's WCAX-TV.

Kyle comes to ‘The Swamp’ from the forests of his home state of Vermont where he served as WCAX’s Statehouse Bureau Chief. In his time there, he covered the state’s failed push for single-payer health insurance, the passage and subsequent gubernatorial veto of marijuana legalization, and every twist and turn in Sen. Bernie Sanders' presidential run.

Kyle has written pieces on Vermont politics for CQ Roll Call, and The Washington Post’s “The Fix" blog listed Kyle as one of the best political reporters in the state.

Prior to joining WCAX, Kyle began his professional journalism career at KULR in Montana. He spent two years there covering politics, but also hiking into wildfires and paddling into flooded towns.

Kyle graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism with a Broadcast Journalism degree and concentrations in History and Political Science. He had the privilege of working for the Medill Innocence Project. His investigative team helped exonerate Timmy Donald of robbery and murder charges 24 years after Donald's wrongful conviction.

Kyle is an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Growing up, he spent his winters on the ski slopes of Southern Vermont and always enjoys the first snow.
