AURORA, Ill. (WIFR) - Tuesday marks 10 years since Timmothy Pitzen vanished from Aurora.

Family and police hope that the new-age progression image for the now 16-year-old boy will help continue the search.

Six-year-old Pitzen vanished after his mother, Amy, picked him up from school and took him to a Wisconsin water park. Later, she drove to Rockford and committed suicide at a local hotel. Pitzen’s mother left a note saying that the child would be well taken care of and would never be found.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children urges everyone to look at this image of what Pitzen might look like today and notify the Aurora Police Department with any potential tips in the case.
