Man found on Parmele St. died from blunt force trauma to head

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - The Rockford Police Department is investigating a suspicious death on city’s southeast side.

Around 4 p.m. Monday, Rockford Police Officers were at the scene of a suspicious death of a 54-year-old man from Rockford in the 2300 block of Parmele Street.

Rockford native Andre Bowlds was pronounced dead at 3:24 p.m. He died from blunt force trauma to the head, according to Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz.

Toxicology tests will be available in approximately three weeks.
