GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) -- Hamas militants in Gaza are backing away from responsibility for a deadly attack on a school in Jerusalem.
Eight young men were killed in yesterday's shootings at a rabbinical seminary.
A Hamas radio spokesman says an earlier claim of responsibility was premature. A Hamas spokesman suggests an announcement may come later. In his words, "we don't claim this honor yet."
Meanwhile, Israel has signaled its intention to continue Mideast peace talks, despite the Palestinian militant attack. An official says Israel doesn't want to punish moderate Palestinians for actions by people who, he says, are not just Israel's enemies but theirs as well.
