After a long, cold, and wet first full week of April the Spring of 08 will finally deliver to the Stateline some warmer weather. This is good news for people who live along streams and rivers. Over April 10th and 11th Rockford received an inch and a half of precipitation causing many waterways to overflow. This excess of rain forced the cancelation of the Raptors/Dactyls soccer tournemant which caused many area businesses to lose much needed revenue. On April 12th the Stateline saw scattered snow showers all day and most of the night and April 13th wasn't much better with overcast skies and a high of 43°. However, in the words of the late George Harrison, "Here comes the sun." April 14th, 15th, and 16th should be very sunny and strong winds on the 15th and 16th will help temperatures soar in the 70s by midweek. Enjoy it while it lasts, more rain is expected on the 17th, 18th and 19th!
