UPDATE: The City of Rockford has cancelled its snow emergency effective at 3:00 p.m. March 6th.
The City has said that all city crews have finished plowing arterial routes and that the city's contractors have completed plowing residential routes. The Village of Machesney Park snow emergency ended at 12:00 p.m. on March 6, 2013. The City of Sterling has cancelled its snow emergency.
STATELINE (WIFR) -- Snow emergencies have been declared in multiple areas across the Stateline. Below is a list of all snow emergencies that have been declared in the area: The City of Rockford has declared a citywide snow emergency starting March 5 at 10:00 a.m. The Odd/Even Parking will be in effect until the Public Works Department deems it is no longer necessary. The Village of Cherry Valley has implemented its winter parking regulation of as of 9:00 a.m. Monday morning. The ordinance states that no vehicles are allowed to park on village streets for the duration of the winter storm warning, or until all streets have been cleared. The Village of Machesney Park has declared a snow emergency starting at 3:00 p.m. March 4 and ending at 12:00 p.m. on March 6, 2013. All cars must be off both sides of the streets during the snow emergency. This may be extended depending on the amount of snow fall, when it ends and when plowing is completed. For the safety of employees, Machesney Park Village Hall will be closed on Tuesday March 5, 2013. - Due to snowfall March 5, trash pick up in Machesney Park will be on Saturday 3-9-13 instead of Friday 3-8-13 The City of Freeport has declared a Snow Emergency effective at 7:00 a.m. March 5. The Winter Parking Regulations are in effect for the next 48 hours. The City of Belvidere has declared a Snow Emergency. All vehicles are to be off the streets until further notice. The City of Rochelle has announced that the winter storm parking snow ordinance is now in effect. The Odd/Even Parking ordinance is currently in effect for residential areas. On even dated days, parking is permitted on the even-numbered sides of the street and on odd dated days, parking is permitted on the odd-numbered sides of the street. The city also reminds residents not to plow, shovel or blow snow from your driveway into the street or onto a neighbor’s property. The Village of Pecatonica is issuing a snow emergency effective today March 4 at 9 pm and ending Wednesday March 6 at 5 pm. The odd/even parking rules will be enforced. The City of Sterling has declared that a Snow Emergency will be in effect March 5 at 8:00 a.m. The following restrictions are in place:
1. No parking on Snow Routes until all snow has been removed from the full width of the street.
2. No parking in the Central Business District and in city parking lots from 1:30 A.M. to 5:30 A.M.
3. Odd and even parking restrictions will be in effect on all other City Streets. On the odd days of the month, you park on the odd-numbered side of the street; and on even days of the month, you park on the even-numbered side of the street. Odd and even days will be considered as beginning between 6:00A.M. and 8:00 A.M. You will not be ticketed between 6:00A.M. and 8:00 A.M. Odd and even numbered sides of the street refer to the usual residence and building address numbers.
These parking restrictions will terminate block by block after the snowfall stops and when all accumulated snow has been removed from the full width of the street or when the snow emergency is cancelled by the City. The City of South Beloit has declared a Snow Emergency. The City of Beloit has declared a snow emergency starting at 11:00 a.m March 5, 2013 and ending at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013. The Village of Clinton (WI) has declared a Snow Emergency from 1:00 p.m. March 5 until 1:00 p.m. March 6. During the SNOW EMERGENCY, no one shall cause or allow the parking or standing of any vehicle, trailer or semi trailer, except emergency vehicles, upon any village street.
