Snow Emergencies in Effect Around the Stateline

STATELINE (WIFR) -- Snow Emergencies for February 21, 2013 include:

The City of Rockford Public Works Department has declared a city-wide snow emergency beginning Thursday, February 21,2013 at 9:00 p.m. until the city deems it no longer necessary. Cars should be parked on the odd numbered side of the street starting at 9:00 p.m. Thursday and on the even numbered side by 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22nd, 2013.

Machesney Park has declared a snow emergency effective from 5pm February 21st, until 4:00 pm, February 22nd. All cars must be off both sides of the streets.

The City of Beloit has declared a snow emergency effective at 12am Friday, February 22nd until noon that day. Due to construction downtown, the east bound lane may be temporarily closed. The lane will be reopened once the snow can be removed, restoring east bound traffic.

The City of Dixon would like to remind citizens that the Even/Odd parking procedure will be in effect due to the impending weather forecast calling for snow. The ordinance is in effect for Friday, February 22nd, cars should park on the even numbered side of the street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. For Saturday, February 23, cars should park on the odd numbered side of the street. Please keep in mind that the even/odd parking rules do not apply to the Central Business District. No parking is allowed in the Central Business District, to include parking lots, between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., so the city crews can clean the streets and lots for the next business day.

Village of Pecatonica will be under a Snow Emergency Beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday Odd/Even Parking in effect - Cars should be parked on the odd side of the street on Thursday, February 21 and moved to the even side of the street by 8 a.m. on Friday, February 22.

The City of Freeport has declared a snow emergency as of 3 a.m. Friday morning. Winter Parking Regulations will be in effect for the next 48 hours

The City of Belvidere has declared a snow emergency as of 6:30 a.m. Friday morning.
