WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) -- ComEd crews have made great progress getting everyone's lights back on. But still 1,300 customers don't have power.
Most of those homes and businesses are in Machesney Park. The rest are in Rockford. Crews are working through the night. We're told the majority will have their power restored Friday, however, there could be a few isolated cases that take until Saturday.
Our photographer caught a downed power line on Elm Avenue near the Parker Center in Machesney Park. It's one of many being reported in the area.
As of right now ComEd says more than 19,000 customers are without power. Most outages are in Winnebago County.
The lights are out at some intersections on East State Street and East Riverside.
If you see downed wires report them by calling ComEd at 1-800-edison-1.
