WASHINGTON, D.C. (WIFR) -- U.S. Senator Dick Durbin is calling on congress to support the Presidents request for a Supplemental Appropriations Bill for Disaster Relief Funding.
Durbin says Illinois needs Federal Aid, because of February's Blizzard and this summer's flooding. While waiting for Congress to pass the bill, FEMA has frozen some funding, in order to pay for new disasters like Hurricane Irene.
