Riverside Park Closed for Possible Flooding

ROSCOE (WIFR) -- After all of the rain many of us are now keeping an eye on the Rock River.

Riverside Park in Roscoe is closed as a precaution, while village leaders prepare for possible flooding. Homeowners looking to protect their property from rising water can fill up sand bags at the Harlem Roscoe Fire Station #1 on Main Street, the New Milford Fire Station and Michalsen Office Furniture in Machesney Park.

Aldeen Park is completely underwater. On Tuesday dogs took a dip into the makeshift lake. The Rockford Park District says water at the park rose a couple feet because of this last storm. It could take a week before we can get back on the baseball diamond.
