What a deluge we had here over the weekend! As promised, the vast majority of the weekend's hours were rain-free, but boy, when it rained this weekend, it really came down in sheets! When the rain gauges were emptied, a total of 2.87" came down between Saturday and Sunday, very much on par with our computer forecasts generated as early as Wednesday night! What's even more impressive is just how long it's been since such heavy rains have occurred in such a short period of time. The 2.87" tally is the heaviest two-day total since 4.03" came down last September 26-27! It's also more rain than the past 49 days here COMBINED! Rain's not expected on Tuesday, but our threats will be renewed in the Wednesday-Friday time frame, though not nearly to the extent of what was just witnessed!
Because of all the rainfall this weekend, we're now more than an inch above normal in the rainfall department since March 1st, and have turned our deficit back to a surplus for the year!
