OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Wildfires fueled by extremely dry conditions in Texas and Oklahoma have burned dozens of homes.

Oklahoma City Fire Department spokesman Mark Woodard said Tuesday evening that a fire there burned about 1,500 acres in the city's rural northeast. Much of the fire was under control, but a portion of it was in an area of forest that firefighters were having trouble reaching.

Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman Lara O'Leary says four people were treated for minor injuries.

In North Texas, a fast-moving wildfire destroyed at least 20 homes and is threatening 125 others.

Texas Forest Service spokesman John Nichols said the fire had spread to about 3,000 acres in Palo Pinto County by Tuesday night.
