KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) -- Hundreds more families have been ordered out of their homes because of a huge wildfire in Idaho.

Gusty winds have continued to fan the flames toward the Sun Valley Resort ski area.

Army and Idaho Air National Guard soldiers have been assisting residents, going door to door to make sure people leave.

The fire has burned more than 64-square-miles. Managers have been running ski lifts to keep stray flames from cooking cables. A wall of smoke greets motorists along a nearby state highway.

More than 1,600 firefighters from across the nation are fighting the fire. The National Fire Center in Boise says this blaze is considered the region's top priority. That's in part because homes potentially in the fire's path in Sun Valley and Ketchum make up more than half the area's 12 billion dollars in taxable value.
