VILLAGE OF BAGLEY, Wis. (AP) -- More than 100 homes have flooded in a Grant County village along the Mississippi River.
Wisconsin Emergency Management says drainage areas in the village of Bagley have backed up after six to eight inches of rain fell since yesterday, causing a large-scale evacuation.
Emergency Management spokeswoman Lori Getter says the Red Cross has set up a temporary shelter for the evacuees in Patch Grove.
Getter says the village president has declared a state of emergency, which will make the community eligible for assistance.
In addition to the flooded homes, some which are seasonal, Getter says others have backed up sewers.
