UNDATED (AP) -- Up to three more inches of rain today could fall across parts of Texas, where rivers, lakes and reservoirs already are full to the brim.
An estimated 1000 homes in Texas have been severely damaged or destroyed by flooding since late May.
The head of the state's emergency management agency calls the weather "unprecedented." Jack Colley said the state's major river basins are at flood stage, the first time that's happened in 50 years.
Thirteen deaths have been blamed on the bad weather in Texas over the past two and a-half weeks
The flood threat is easing in Oklahoma and Kansas and weather forecasters are predicting a drier pattern in those states in the days ahead.
