Mexican Landslide Buries Bus Carrying Dozens Of Passengers

ELOXOCHITLAN, Mexico (AP) -- Rescue workers are digging through tons of rock and dirt after a landslide buried a bus in Mexico.

Authorities blame recent heavy rains for triggering Wednesday morning's slide in the central Mexican state of Puebla.

So far, only one body has been recovered. But the number of dead could increase, since the bus was carrying at least 40 passengers.

Searchers are using heavy machinery and dogs to hunt for survivors.

Local residents and relatives of the bus riders wept as they crowded around barriers near the crash site. They're being kept back by soldiers.
