(AP) -- Strong winds have canceled hundreds of flights at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, one of the nation's busiest.
The winds are part of the same storm system that dropped baseball-sized hail, tornadoes and heavy rain across the Upper Midwest.
At least five tornadoes have been reported across Wisconsin, including one that tore apart the Bear Paw Resort near Langlade in the northern part of the state.
And hailstones four inches wide fell in Wisconsin Rapids.
Another twister damaged homes along a lake in Otter Tail County, in western Minnesota.
Heavy rain has washed out roads in parts of North Dakota. An emergency official in Bowman County says more than six inches of rain fell in some places.
