PRATT, Kan. (AP) -- A 77-year-old Greensburg, Kansas, man has become the tenth to die of injuries from the tornado that struck the town May Fourth.
Officials at Pratt Regional Medical Center say Harold Schmidt died there Monday.
Eight other Greensburg residents were killed, along with a New Mexico man who was in the southwest Kansas town when the tornado struck.
The same storm system spawned tornadoes that killed one person each in the nearby towns of Macksville and Hopewell, bringing the total number of fatalities to 12.
