Students in Vidor, Texas got an unexpected day off Friday (10-30) when storms produced heavy rains that flooded their schools.

Classes were canceled for the day when water began flowing into the high school and middle school in Vidor Friday morning. Area residents also faced problems with sewage and flooded streets.

The superintendent says schools will be cleaned over the weekend so classes can resume on Monday (11/02) Some extra-curricular activities were also postponed.
