Snow in Nebraska is making things difficult for farmers.

A major winter storm blew out of Colorado and into Nebraska this week and left about a foot of snow in western Nebraska.

Snow and high winds caused schools to close and visibility problems for drivers on the roads.

The snow comes at an especially bad time for farmers trying to get their crop in from the field.The majority of the corn crop is still in the fields waiting to be harvested.

The corn and sugar beet crops are the most impacted by the winter weather. However all the moisture is good for the wheat crop.

Conditions expected to warm up over the weekend.
