A Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6pm Wednesday west and south of Denver which includes cities like Evergreen and Castle Rock.

It looks like there will be up to 3 to 8 inches of snow possible in the higher western and southern suburbs -- mostly above 6,000 feet (Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson, and Douglas counties).

The system will take a little time to move out, but the rain and snow should begin heading south by Wednesday evening.

Snow should melt quickly come Thursday, as highs will be in the 50s with more sunshine. Friday, a few clouds return with a slight chance for a shower as a weak system moves across the area... But no snow with this one, temperatures will remain in the 50s.
