A wildfire burning in Southern California's Ventura County has grown to more than 9,000 acres Wednesday (9/23).
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says the
15-square-mile blaze north of Moorpark is now 20 percent contained.
Two outbuildings have been destroyed but no homes have been damaged. The fire erupted yesterday as hot, dry and gusty Santa Ana winds swept into Southern California. Weather on the fire lines is expected to include gusts up to 30 mph.
Centers have been set up for hundreds of residents who have been evacuated. People aren't the only ones being evacuated - a shelter for horses has also been set up.
