Earlier today Mark Henderson spent some time in another part of the stateline with a group of students who shared their enthusiasm about science!
Dozens of third and fourth graders from Blackhawk Elementary School in Freeport took part in this year's science fair. Mark joined Freeport Mayor George Gaulrapp along with Police Chief Jerry Whitmore as judges for the annual event. The fair featured exhibits of volcanoes, chemical reactions, and Mark's favorite, tornadoes! Mark did tell us earlier on that picking a winner out of so many excellent displays was a very, very hard task.

Thanks Mark for coming to Blackhawk School and helping with the judging of the science fair. The students were so excited to see you and have the opportunity to talk to you.
