About 300 residents and tourists have been evacuated around the resort town of Ruidoso, N.M., because of flooding caused by the remnants of Hurricane Dolly. Ruidoso emergency management coordinator Tom Schafer said Sunday that the Rio Ruidoso went over its banks about midnight. He says four people were rescued after being trapped by rising water but injuries were minor. Meteorologists say the mountainous area has gotten more than 6 inches of rain from the hurricane's remnants and more rain is forecast for the area. Several bridges and roads in the area have been closed because of the high water.
