During a press conference Tuesday (04/29), residents and officials in Suffolk, Virginia say although an F-3 tornado hit their city they are glad to know that there have been no fatalities reported.

The devastating storm ravaged the area Monday afternoon (04/28).

There were about 200 injuries reported, fortunately none are life threatening.

Virginia Governor Tim Kaine is touring the area and he said state officials will lend a helping hand as the city recovers.
