The fire in the Sierra Madre, California has burned more than four-hundred acres Monday (4/28).

A thousand people remain evacuated, but for one couple in particular it was one weekend they will never forget.

With nearly fifty of their close family and friends looking on Ken and Julie Grady became husband and wife in a picturesque setting deep within the Sierra Madre Mountains.

Little did they know a fire was burning just a few miles away.

But less than 24 hours after they said "I Do" the Grady's and their guests who had camped overnight at the location, were told it was too dangerous to hike out the four miles and they would have to be air lifted out.

It took five trips to airlift the entire wedding party out, but everyone is
safe and accounted for. The bride and groom said they are just happy it all happened after their wedding.
