Last year, Georgia residents couldn't buy a raindrop. This year, they can't buy a break!
Motorists in Claxton, Georgia are having a time of it. Heavy rains have left many of the streets there under water. The small southeastern town received more than seven inches of rain in about six hours.
There has also been a report that a dam along the Canoochee River failed sending more water into the community. Police report that four houses are flooded. A number of cars stalled as drivers tried to pass through the deep water. Police have been posted to keep motorists from attempting to drive through the flooded areas.
