Starting tonight the Stateline will see some rain showers and they are expected to continue through Monday night. On Saturday night we'll start small with just some light sprinkles mixed with flurries and we are only expecting some scattered showers on Sunday. However, by Monday a stronger system will move into the Stateline and just sit over us bringing us anywhere from an inch to two inches of precipitation in about 12 hours. Some of this could fall in the form of severe tunderstorms, especailly Monday evening. This rain will be falling into already high water systems. The Rock River in Rockton is already at flood stage and is experiencing minor flooding. The additional rainfall could pose a flooding concern for that community and any community along a stream or river. Remember, if you encounter a flooded roadway never attempt to drive through it.
