Flood warnings continue for the Rock River in Rockton and the Pecatonica River between Shirland and Freeport. Water levels along the Rock River are floating just under 10 feet, which is the flood stage. Minor flooding is expected in the Rockton area, while minor flooding is occurring along the Pecatonica River.
The National Weather Service is predicting that water levels will recede later this week but future rainfall could prove to be very dangerous.
