A potent winter storm is moving across the northern half of Utah leaving quite a bit of snow on the ground and fenders bent.
Snow started falling on Salt Lake County, Utah on Wednesday (2/13), quickly piling up on streets, making roadways very slick and forcing some drivers to slow it down.
As per usual with storms, there are some drivers who wind up crashing their vehicles and there were reports of crashes all over the county, some minor and others more serious.
The storm is also packing some strong winds, which has resulted in whiteout conditions.
Emergency officials are urging drivers to be careful because of the cold air creating icy road conditions. Authorities say the Thursday morning commute is likely going to be tough.
The storm is moving eastward and is expected to impact Colorado overnight and into Thursday. It is also expected to cause problems for the morning commute in the Denver metro area.
