The ground shook in Lake County, Ohio on Wednesday (10/17), about 3.2 worth. There were no reports of deaths of injuries, but it left a few folks pretty rattled.
Authorities put the epicenter of the quake at 15 miles northwest of Fairport harbor and Mentor on the Lake. There have been several earthquakes in the lake County in the past few years.
Emily Kerwood's job is to listen. She's a stay-at-home mother to two-year old twin boys. Nothing gets past this mom, not even a 3.2 earthquake.
She described an intense rattling sound, and said it lasted about 15 seconds.
Kerwood checked on the twins, they slept through the whole thing. The dogs didn't seem to mind either. Her neighbors didn't notice.
Kerwood said this quake made her recall her first experience, way back when she was in second grade.
