Many of us are still working on our Thanksgiving leftovers, but some Stateline are getting a jump on their Christmas decorations.

Christmas tree farms are now open for business. While artificial tree sales stay strong, many people say the season just isn't complete without the feel and scent of a freshly cut fir. The 400-year-old tradition of using evergreen trees as part of the Christian Christmas celebration started in Germany and spread to most of Northern Europe by the 19th century.
