"An American Pageant" Patriotic Concert

Nov 11, 2012 3:00-4:30 pm

St. Marks Lutheran Church, 657 N. Mulford, Rockford, IL
Join conductor, Phyllis Hogberg, and the Kishwaukee Valley Concert Band in a musical panorama highlighting many wonderful aspects of our country. The KVCB will travel down the path of history with a poignant tribute to Abraham Lincoln ("With Malice Toward None") and a lively medley of folk tunes celebrating Americas original highway sytem, "American Riversongs." Duke Ellington's, "It Don't Mean A Thing" will be a shout-out to America's jazz heritage and a medley from Lloyd Webber's "Les Miserables" will salute this country's contribution to musical theater. A special selection, "Thank you, Soldiers", will be part of a heartfelt salute to America's veterans.

Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms for this concert.

Please come and join us.
