Music on Main Concert - 20th Century Duo Flute

Don't miss the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center's next "Music on Main" performance, 20th Century Duo Flute!

Flutists Scott Metlicka and Jean Bishop of the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra will perform a program of solo and duo flute music. All the pieces are tonal and were composed in the 20th century, yet each piece is distinctly different from the others. This program includes a piece by American composer Dexter Morrill, whose "Stained Glass Concerto" will be featured in the upcoming Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra performance on October 26, 2012. "Music on Main" is the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center's series of brief and intimate after-work concerts in various genres, held at our historic Emerson House in the heart of Rockford's cultural corridor. Experience beautiful music, mingle with the artists, enjoy complimentary wine and light refreshments, and relax with your friends. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Seating is limited, so arrive early!
