Course: The race starts on East State Street (between Regan and Summit Streets) close to the entrance to SwedishAmerican Hospital. The point to point course is downhill and fast, with the finish on the State Street bridge. Splits at each 1/4. For additional race information, visit

Awards - Prize Money - Age Groups
Prize money will be awarded to top three male and female finishers in Open heat: $150 for 1st, $100 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd. Masters Heat $100 for 1st place overall male & female
Age Group Awards given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, male and female, in each age group of the Ben Newson Jr heats (6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19) and Open heat (17-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39) Masters Heat (40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+). Ribbons given to all finishers of the Kids Fun Run.
$1,000 High School Challenge
The high school that has the most registered and participating students, staff and faculty will receive a $1,000 prize for their athletic department. Each registrant will designate their school and grade level or faculty/staff position. We encourage school spirit by wearing you school apparel on race day! (Participants must cross the finish line to count toward the High School Challenge.)

Register by July 15th to guarantee receiving shirt. (Sorry, no t-shirts for the Kids Fun Run.)
Packet Pickup: Packet pick up times and locations: Friday, July 31st from 2 - 7 PM at Runner's Image, 219 E. State St.; Saturday, August 1st from Noon - 4 PM at Runner's Image, 219 E. State St.; Saturday from 4:00 at SwedishAmerican Hospital, 1401 East State Street. RACE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 4 PM on Saturday, August 1st. Race Day Registration Race day registration will be available from Noon to 4 PM at Runner's Image, 219 E. State St. REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 4 PM on race day. No Exceptions. Note no discounts for day of registrations sign up by July 15th to guarantee a shirt!

What better way to kick off your Labor Day weekend than getting out for some family-friendly competition (for those who want to be competitive) in downtown Rockford. RAMP and Rockford Orthopedic Associates are partnering to offer the 3rd Annual Run Walk Wheel – 3K Walk/Wheel, 5K Run, ½ Marathon, and a Kids Fun Run! The four events take place in the morning on Saturday, September 5th. All proceeds from these events will go directly to RAMP. Proceeds benefit RAMP, a local non-profit providing services and advocacy that assists individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible.
