Pasta for Paws

Our 6th Annual PASTA FOR PAWS is a fundraiser that is truly "a family affair." A delicious pasta dinner* and entertainment is paired with a silent auction and a 'Hug-A-Pet' kids event. At the Hug-A-Pet event, kids can meet dogs, cats and other animals to learn some basics in humane education. Everyone is welcome to hold, pet and cuddle to get a taste of the positive aspects of pet ownership or fostering.

Free Spirit Siberian Rescue Husky Howler

To all our four legged friends ... Remind your two-legged caretakers to visit our website to register you and your family for a day of food and fun at the Rush Creek Conservation District.
Pre-registration is encouraged but not required for those that are more spontaneous.
This years Howler will include vendors, a silent auction, and many fun activities including a pot luck lunch, pumpkin pull, hot dog bob, costume contest, and much more!

All proceeds go to help homeless and abandoned huskies.
Online/Advance Registration: $10 per adult, $5 per child (under 5 free), $25 for a family of four. Day of Event: $15 per adult, $5 per child (under 5 free), $30 for a family of four.

Hiking for Hounds

Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden, 2715 S. Main St. Rockford, IL 61102
It’s time for Klehm’s annual celebration of our best friend – the dog. Bring your costumed canine friends to spend a day enjoying and exploring our entire 155 acres of gardens and grounds. At 1pm that day, dog owners are encouraged to enter their furry friends into a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded, and everyone will be able to take home good memories and pictures. In addition, there will be vendors with pet-friendly products to visit and an adoption event featuring local advocacy organizations.

Half Price Admission: $3 adults, $1.50 seniors, kids and students.
