Children's Health and Safety Expo

Aviators' Stadium 4503 Interstate Blvd. Loves Park
– Local families are invited to attend State Representative Joe Sosnowski’s 2nd Annual Children’s Health Safety Expo to be held on August 25th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Aviators’ Stadium, 4503 Interstate Blvd., Loves Park.

“The 2014 Children’s Health and Safety Fair will provide families a special opportunity to take a hands-on approach to learning while empowering children to make smart and healthy decisions,” said Rep. Sosnowski. “It will also give all members of the community valuable access to government agencies and local businesses, delivered in one convenient location.”

The event will showcase several interactive activities throughout the day including a magic show, petting zoo, bouncy house, rock climbing wall, more than 20 trucks and emergency vehicles, free kids identification kits, car seat safety checks, and diabetes screening. Admission to the event is FREE with complimentary refreshments and giveaways also provided.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to be entered into a drawing.

“I strongly encourage every family to stop by and check out all that our community has to offer,” said Rep. Sosnowski. “This will be a fun day for the whole family thanks to the generous contributions and representation of many area businesses and agencies.”

More than 50 state and local agencies, non-profit organizations and businesses will host health and safety booths. Rep. Sosnowski will also have informational brochures on state and local programs available.
