FHN’s Summer Family Movie Series
Classic Cinemas Lindo Theatre in FreeportEnjoy a great movie at a great price with your family at FHN’s Summer Family Movie Series at the Classic Cinemas Lindo Theatre in Freeport.
Each movie will begin at 10 a.m., with limited first-come, first-seated seating. Admission is just $3.50, compliments of FHN.
This year’s movies are:
June 29 – Monsters University (G)
July 6 – The Lone Ranger (PG-13)
July 13 – Despicable Me 2 (PG)
July 20 – Turbo (PG)
Kids who attend the movies will receive a surprise from FHN, and there are plenty of other surprises in store, so join us for some cool fun!

JAKES Day
Torstenson Youth Conservation Education Center – 13735 Cook Rd – Pecatonica, ILYouth, ages 3-17 are invited to the Summer JAKES Day Event.
The National Wild Turkey Federation started the JAKES program as a way to give kids a chance to explore through fun and safe events held outdoors. The term "JAKES" stands for Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics, and Sportsmanship.
Cost: Free
Includes $10 membership to be paid by sponsors. Planned Activities include:
Still target turkey shoot for JAKES 10 and older. B-B gun shoot for JAKES under 10 years. Archery, Casting games, Tree Identification, DNR Conservation Trailer & other activities.
Food and Drink will be provided. Parents are welcome to stay.

CommUNITY Picnic
Victorian Village at the MuseumMidway Village Museum is inviting the whole community to a free family-friendly picnic. Enjoy the outdoors in the beautiful surroundings of the Midway Village and listen to the sounds of these popular local bands. Admission and musical entertainment is FREE!

Food will be available for purchase for picknicking including BBQ, Hot Dogs, Chips, Desserts and Drinks. A Children's Gameland complete with activities includes carnival games, bouncy houses, crafts and face painting. A Celebrity Dunk Tank, and Raffle/Bingo are also part of the festivities. Shop a craft and flea market area, and help the museum set a World's Record for how many Sock Monkeys can fit into a car. Some activities will require tickets for purchase.

Friday Night Flix
Davis Park 320 S. Wyman St., Rockford, IL 61101Friday Night Flix features large screen movies that the entire family can enjoy. The free movie showings begin at sundown on the North lawn of Davis Park. The BMO Harris Bank Center arena floor is the backup location in the case of rain or inclement weather. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring lawn chairs if the movie is indoors.

Kids Muddy Madness

Westwood Park, Morton, IllinoisWe hope you will consider joining us for the 2nd annual Kids' Muddy Madness to support St. Jude mud run. Our event is sure to be the highlight of your summer. Hopefully, all the information you need is included in this website, but if we've missed something, be sure to contact us and we'll answer any questions you might have.
We have a couple of favors to ask, if you don't mind. First, tell everyone you know about this event! We are hoping to get 1000 kids to come out and get dirty in 2013.
Second, email or share this with everyone in your contacts list- the more that know what we are doing, the better our event will be.
Third, ask all of your family and friends to donate to you so you can be the top fundraising participant!
Last, please check out our Sponsorship opportunities. We want to make sure that every dollar the kids raise goes directly to the kids at St. Jude, so if you help us underwrite some of our needed materials or supplies, our event will be awesome and we'll raise a whole bunch of money for kids fighting cancer!
